Eaters’ Guild began as a farm because there was a community that supported, and were supported by, our growing organic vegetables. It was 2001 when the birth of Eaters’ Guild came with the birth of our daughter, Iris. Our goal was and remains to steward the soil and its community, finding and growing our health as inclusive to the health of our soil community. We do this with refined and age-old organic practices, integrating plant and animals into an agroecology that feeds us, the soil and uncultivated biodiversity. Come and find out with us that agriculture doesn’t have to be “us or them”. That weeds, birds, bugs, unnamed quadripeds, fungi and bacteria can all eat at the same table as us. All the eaters in this guild lend their efforts to the repast.

Our approach to CSA has been to broaden the time over which we return a members investment by sending shares for 25 weeks. Our aim is to share the full cycle of eating diversity covering 45 weeks with our summer and winter shares. CSA members are the heart of our farm. On weeks when the produce is long and all of our markets are well-served, shares get the best of the best, a careful composition designed to anchor your week's meal planning. For weeks where the produce is tight, the CSA always eats first, in line before the farmers’ markets, restaurants and grocers.

Our summer share starts in the first half of May and ends near November. Our winter shares deliver every other week starting the first of December to the beginning of April. If shares are available, you can join at the beginning of either cycle. Summer shares can be ‘full’ or ‘half’ shares for $500 and $285 respectively. In 8 seasons of making shares, half shares have seemed to be adequate for one or two people with full shares needing 3 to 4. Of course there are individuals that can eat a full share themselves and families of 5 that like half share as a small addition to their other food choices. There are many pairs of couples or small families that split a full share to mutual benefit.

Lee and Laurie, have you considered on-line registration and take MasterCard or Visa... How much money do those credit card companies charge to process an order? We could investigate on-line charges through PayPal or such.
